Red Bluff woman arrested after man found stabbed
RED BLUFF -- Police say they found a Red Bluff man lying on his front lawn, bleeding from stab wounds he allegedly suffered at the hands of his housemate.
Dawn Maurine Snyder, 38, was arrested late Saturday after officers were called to her Gentry Way home about 11:30 p.m. for a reported stabbing, Red Bluff police said Monday.
Snyder's housemate, whose name was withheld because he's the victim of alleged domestic violence, had been stabbed four times in the legs with a pocket knife, police said.
Investigators later determined that Snyder had locked the man out of the home and refused to let him inside, but he climbed in through the attic instead, police said.
As he lowered himself down into the house from the attic, Snyder stabbed him in his lower legs, police said.
Bleeding, the man fled to the kitchen, but he slipped on the blood gushing from his legs. While on the ground, Synder held a knife to his throat and threatened to kill him, police said.
He escaped and had a neighbor call 911.
The man was treated at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff and released, police said.
Snyder was being held Monday at the Tehama County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence, making criminal threats and assault causing great bodily injury. Her bail was set at $45,000.

Exact same story as yesterday.
I heard on the radio this morning that the dude was her husband, not a "housemate".

We must remind ourselves that domestic violence includes protecting oneself. Perhaps Ms. Synder was doing just that. When the locked door didn't help, and the "victim" was climbing through the attic....I'd probably be stabbing him too.
Pass no judgement please.

Call the cops! This was in the city, not up in Hog Waller Flats. When he is coming though the attic, she goes out the front door. How hard is that?

Ummmm my guess is she wasn't aiming for his legs.
I also heard he was her husband. My other guess was she locked him out for some transgression, and I doubt this is the first time he climbed in through the attic, although I doubt he will try that again.

He comes in through the attic. Does she come in through the bathroom window?

I can imagine trying to break OUT of a house she lived in...but this woman is way to ugly to break INTO the house for. Think way to much alcohol was involved?
